Decentralizing the Markets?

I have been reading the Dev blogs with regularity, and I have been thinking a bit on the “why’s”.  It dawned on me after seeing that POS fuels could be produced within a given system (provided that the right planets exist to actually manufacture products)

Further  reading through the spreadsheets about the new PI models in testing and I noticed  the   Commodity/General items that are involved with Production inside the existing PI model on Sisi…the one that stands out is the 1st item below Construction blocks(this is part of the Sacrilege_Blueprint that I pulled from the EvE wiki). It seems that this could be something, that may in the future, be made on planets with PI.

So it would seem that perhaps CCP is steering us AWAY from “everyone go to Jita/trade hubs to shop model”.   As a dweller who lives VERY far from a trade hub, I can only applaud this supposed  move. In addition to that, the ability to make POS fuels in certain systems with PI,  seems a HUGE leap forward in the ability for a Corporation/Alliance to NOT have to “jump to JITA” to buy tons of stuff when it could be manufactured locally.

To me, these small moves are an incremental shift AWAY from trade hubs to a more decentralized set of markets.

At’s right I’m blogging at you!

Freebooted is looking for a way to catalog some of the blogs in the pack , and after my reintroduction the other day I thought I woudl help a brother blogger out.  Cause I’m a helpful mule not just a stubborn one.

A Mule in EvE , started out a personal Diary of my travels through EvE.

Over my  time in the pack, this blog has morphed a bit into a place where people can come and read about 0.0 from someone who lives there.

I use categories to try to give people clues.

I try to offer help to new people in the categories: “Game Mechanics” & “Lessons Learned” & “Overview Setup”

I Offer different views on ships from a Large Alliance  PvP perspective: Giving way to the Category: “Ship Info”

I write editorial views on thins happening in game: “War News” as well as things out of game  “OOG news” and “Patch Changes”

I have written some fiction and although I’ve not written fiction ever i my life at least I get to try. Category is “fiction”

Every now and then I ask people their opinions about the site in the “Web Changes” category

My writing style is 1 part stream of consciousness, 1 part I gotta tell people what happens to CEPTA & SyS-K and 2 Parts ” Damn people need to know something” + an extra heaping of mule’ish behavior over certain things (not liking Drakes for PvP as an example) + a dash of  spicing of pretty EvE ships.

Manasi is  an older Character ( May 30th, 2003) SO I have seen the game change Dramatically, and while I do not reminisce much, I sometimes compare & contrast.

I’m stubborn kinda like a good cat/dog is stubborn at always waking you up at 3:00 AM for hearing a squirrel and thinking it is an intruder but I gotta go wake the master who is sleeping soundly kind of stubborn…

Supercarrier’s …..ho!

New patch notes are out and all you Super Carrier pilots can rejoice a bit.

the   shortlist:

Super Carrier

  • Jump range increased to 5LY
  • Fighter Bombers directly controlled by the pilot…cannot offload control as you can with fighters
  • “massive HP boost” ~ direct quote from the patch notes
  • Increase to shield, armor & structure for Super Carriers

The Sovereignty short list:

  • TCU HP have been doubled
  • TCU online time reduced to 8 hours
  • reinforcement randomization increased to +3/-3 hours
  • SBU’s have an HP increase and a increase to resistances to make them easier to rep and harder to kill ( maybe they are seeing something~ and hopefully reading this blog a bit)

Lots of UI changes ( mainly to the mail options)

  • right clicking to delete mails..without having to select them
  • Color coding of mails

Killmail updates

  • kill mail system has been borked for some time hopefully now it will show actual damage AND you won’t mysteriously “lose” any

EvE voice

  • The ability to change the gender of your voice…oh no that wont be abused at all…lol

One interesting note:

  • CCP Tuxford can no longer shut down TQ on a whim.  I Wonder what this is about eh?
